We are so excited to announce our amazing charity partnership with Base 51! An incredible charity that we are so proud to be able to support.

WHAT DO BASE 51 DO?

Base 51 has been supporting 11–24-year-olds in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire for over 30 years, providing life-changing services including: counselling, youth clubs and Outburst (their LGBTQIA+ group).
The charity creates safe spaces for young people and gives them a trusted adult to talk to when they are in need.

With 1 in 4 young people struggling with their mental health, Base 51’s work is vital in helping to improve mental wellbeing and reduce social isolation in the local area.

EVIE’S STORY WITH BASE 51

“I first started coming to Base 51 with a group of my friends. We were just looking for somewhere to hang out — a place where we didn’t have to keep looking over our shoulders. We’d had a few run-ins in town with strangers hassling us, and it had left us all feeling a bit on edge. Base 51 felt different. It felt safe.

Over the weeks, I got to know some of the youth workers and volunteers. They weren’t just staff — they were people who actually listened. I started getting counselling with them too, I’m still working through a lot, but having people who genuinely care, who don’t make me feel judged or invisible — it’s made a huge difference.”
